Timberland aims to 'make it better'

Ptbl2467602v250 It turns out that Timberland are into more than just boots and are a company that takes their environmental, community and social responsiblity seriously. Their clothing and accessories range has 'branched out' into organic and natural materials.  Plus they have teamed up with Earthwatch and are dishing out sponsorship's at home and abroad. If its fashion you're after, choose from a range of basic organic tees or those with slogan's, including "I am an outsider" as pictured - all priced at $24. Timberland are also flogging men's hemp blazer's for $148 - very smart casual. The women's natural range includes bamboo sandals available in green, brown or orange, priced at $80 (pictured).

Timberland are also supporting Earth Day - April 22nd - which asks us to consider the world's water resources (didn't World Water Day, just do that?)You can support the cause through purchasing the 'earthkeeper collection', including organic tees, from which a portion of sales benefit the non-profit organisation Earthwatch.

Timberland state that they are committed to reducing their environmental impact and the quality of life for their workers.  They invest in a number of community programmes, including the Timberland UK Scholarship award, which sponsor's great ideas, initiatives, challenges or activities.  The award focuses on communities, working outdoors, with adventure in mind.  The closing date for entries is 28th April.

Timberland do really get about!  They are also sponsoring the Barnado's Big Toddle in June - a half mile walk for under five's.  Get those little one's toddling for charity. [Ella]
