There is a great writeup at minimum impact about Swopex, a site for exchanging DVDs and games at the very modest price of 99p plus S&H (which is apparently another 64p). The idea was to allow people to exchange unwanted media goods around without having to sludge through eBay hassles and fees.
I searched around a bit and did find a few DVDs that I'm looking for - quite obscure titles which I'd be happy to have if only I weren't in Canada, boohoo. There seems to be quite a lot of stuff available, including full box sets of television shows (although they require quite a lot more swopcredits than regular movies do). You also get a free trade when you sign up. Allegedly you also get entered into a contest to win 50 free DVDs, but the contest deadline is given as January 31, 2006, which is well past... que pasa, guys?

A cool one that you should also check out is:

Swapping seems to be the next cool concept on the web =)
In Germany they are swopping too, see
http://www.hitflip.de
If you live in Europe you might want to try http://www.eswapnow.com. It is completely free and you can swap books, dvds and games.
Great thing is you dont need to go through that hassle of finding a person who has got what you want.
