Still not bored of cardboard furniture

Large__13_10_2005_12_18_love I've had a bit of stick in the past for reviewing cardboard products - furniture, toys and even baby cribs are now all available in cardboard. People shout - "well why would I want to pay twenty odd quid for a fancy cardboard box when I could just buy a bog standard box on the cheap?" The thing is you're never going to get your box to match the cool designs available.  Factum, from Art Meets Matter, is the king of cool cardboard furniture.

Large__13_10_2005_12_16_chintz Art Meets Matter says that Factum is semi permanent, foldable, 'lifestyle' furniture.  This sounds a bit wasteful to me but its not - its eco-friendly, made from 100% recycled and recyclable paper board.  The cubes, priced at £24.95, are available in psychedelia (pictured top), London tube map, periodic table and the kaiser chiefs album. The chairs, a fiver extra, are a bit more feminine, available in chintz (pictured), boudoir (a lacey design) or with Christine Keeler's portrait plastered over it.  Both designs come in the more neutral 'bed sit' design, but I think if you're going to go for it then the brightest funkiest ones are winners.  My only concern is whether they will withstand my toddler climbing all over them..... oh and they don't like water either.  For minimalist, kid-free, drink-free homes only! Yum, that floral chair looks fantastic - more fantastic than I'm likely to put together myself. (Hey, you guys protesting the price of cardboard furniture - I bet you buy machine-made _underpants_ even though _those_ are made of about 50p worth of cotton, hum?)
