Green Shoes with Vegan option
Green Shoes is a yummy line of bespoke and ethical shoes (for men, women and children, unlike the lifeboats on the Titanic) as well as bags, belts and jewelry, all handmade in Devon. Everything they make in leather is also available in Lorica, which is, they say: "non-leather material is ideal for Vegan shoes, being durable, soft, lightweight, and water-repellent. It is manufactured in Italy from a combination of microfibres and resins (Polyamide and Polyurethane), and breathes like natural leather. The glues we use during manufacture are non-animal derived, as are the soles and threads." They're also gorgeous. (Are vegans okay with a shoemaker that also works with leather? Or is it a beggars-can't-be-choosers scene?)
Shoes start at £96, sandals at £92, boots from £110 to £254. Postage looks pretty reasonable. Shoe pictured above is the Geranium, at £120.
