Allotmental

Totu Allotments are clearly having a revival.  Organic Life has started a new series of articles for allotment novices, there's a feature in The Ecologist this month and BBC Radio 2 Jeremy Vine's show has its own regular allotment feature.  I haven't jumped on the band wagon myself but I can see the benefit's - local, organic food and a healthy hobby for all the family to enjoy.  It won't surprise you that allotmenteering is being blogged - check out Plot Holes and even Howies have a great list of books to get you started.  If you can't quite find the time or energy to put into an allotment then why not try my family's favourite - tumbling tomatoes, easily planted in hanging baskets.  Buy your pack of organic seeds for just £2.04 at The Organic Gardening Catalogue.
