Recycled silver jewellery
The masses are finally getting the message that recycling is essential but the interest in buying recycled products - excepting paper - is still often limited to us Hippyshoppers. I love this unisex and simply styled torc bangle (pictured) which is made in the UK from recycled sterling silver. It is available from the Centre for Alternative Technology and is priced at £14.99. The CAT also sell other recycled styles as well as Fair trade jewellery. I think its great that the range and availability of recycled products is increasing and we can only hope the interest in all things recycled will steadily grow. [written by Ella]

Although it is a great thing that companies get the message that people want to buy recycled items, sterling silver, as are gold and other precious metals, is never really thrown out.
Nice marketing trick, but unless they really found a source for their silver that was previously not recycled, that's more of a gimmick than anything else.
Just my 2 cents.
