World's first flexible solar bag

JuicebagYep, this is the first solar rucksack to use flexible panels instead of rigid glass or plastic ones. Time to punch the air? Possibly, if you're given to exuberant displays of excitement. Essentially it means you'll be able to scrunch the 25 litre Juice Bag when it's not in use, plus the bag is slightly lighter than its stiff alternatives from Eclipse and Voltaics Systems. There's no battery - it charges gadgets directly via a built-in female 12V car charger - and in direct sunlight it should charge as fast as the mains. Best of all, you can choose from six different colours. For UK punters, there's the added bonus that it's actually being distributed in the UK - so far, O'Neill has been the only company promising to stock solar bags here. You'll be able to buy a Juice Bag for £200 later this summer from ESC Outdoor. In the States, the same bag appears to be on sale for $200 from Reware.
