Recycling: start here

It's not often government sites feature in these pages, but Recycle now deserves a big plug because it's updated virtually every day, packed to its last link with recycling factettes and blessed with these gorgeous illustrations (this happy family not only grows its own carrots but composts the waste too!). Other reasons to go take a look? A fantastic directory of recycled products that I've occasionally borrowed from, a guide to your local recycling facilities - mine are a bit out of date - plus tips on how to recycle more at home, in the garden, the office and at school. All considered, it's a warren of advice and a brilliant shopper's site.
