Divine alternative to After Eights

Comments (2)

Divine_mints_1Ah, After Eight mints. So tasty, so eighties, so... owned by Nestle. Calll me a stuck in the mud, but I still can't get past that whole baby formula thing. Fortunately, I don't have to. Divine, purveyor of fine Fair Trade chocolate, has just announced it's going to be making its own After Dinner Mints with a peppermint fondant centre and 70% cocoa chocolate. The choc comes from a Ghana co-op called Kuapo Kokoo, which gets paid a Fair Trade rate and - in similar fashion to the coffee bean producers behind Oxfam's Progresso cafes - also part-owns Divine's parent company, Day Chocolate. The 200g mints go on sale in September from Oxfam stores for £3 a box. Divine chocolate.
