Quite a few coffee shops do a FairTrade cuppa these days - Cafedirect and Marks&Sparks coffee bars spring to mind - so new ones need to be a bit special to stand out. Oxfam's Progresso cafes do just that. Naturally, all the coffee's FairTrade and Oxfam can tell you all about the three co-ops that provide all the beans. But Progresso goes one further - it's actually part-owned (a 50% share, no less) by its producers in Indonesia, Ethiopia and Honduras. So far there are just two cafes, both in London - one in Covent Garden and one at 156 Portobello Road - but new stores are planned across the UK later in the year.
