Pedal power
I know this gadget's about a couple of geological ages old, but I justify its inclusion here on the grounds that it's spring, it's sunny and there are going to be a lot of old bicycles coming out of sheds. The name of the Pedal & Power pretty much says it all. For £20, you get a dynamo that fits on your wheel, a female cigarette charger socket and a phone holder - all you need is the car charger for your moby. Et voila - free power!
