Better bathroom stuff

Comments (2)

AvalonA new range of organic toiletries recently turned up in the post to tempt me away from my regular stalwarts Green People, Jason and Faith in Nature. Fickle creature that I am, Avalon's new(ish) Organic Botanicals stuff has me charmed. The products vary from 56% to 100% organic and looking down the ingredients' lists I can't see any regular chemical nasties. I've been testing out the lavender exfoliating scrub (£9, 80% organic) and the mint thyme handwash - both smell good enough to eat and appear to be doing what they say on the tin. The only thing that smells a little Emperor's New Clothes is the mention in the press blurb about "organic floral water". You what? The range is available in Sainsburys, Harrods and health shops. 7th Nov 2005 Update: and it's now also available at Waitrose.

How about Lush ( http://www.lush.co.uk/ )? Ok, I doubt their organic percentages are as high, but they are increasing the amount of organic ingredients, have loads of vegan products, won't use anything from suppliers who test on animals and even have a fair-trade foot lotion!

Hi
We have just launched our Truly Natural Hand Wash range which is 100% natural (really) with scents such as Rose Geranium and Lavender or Bergamot, Ginger & Black pepper essential oils. So rich and kind to your hands and the environment. And because we didnt want to leave out the family pets we have also launched Truly Natural Pet Scents - a dog shampoo with gentle amounts of Lavender and Cedarwood. It would be great if you check us out at http://www.homescents.co.uk/acatalog
We look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards
Judith
