Organic Tesco cotton for junior
Good news for Mums and Dads watching the pennies - Tesco's just started selling babywear made from 100% organic cotton. The clothes are made by Green Baby, who've been in the business of selling organic outfits to chubby-faced British kids for six years, so it should be good quality stuff as well as cheap. The range is being stocked in 40 stores - see if there's one near you here.

Am I correct in remembering a few years ago there was a report that said cotton (organic or otherwise) contains a very slow acting poison that leaches into human skin causing eventual death. The effect over centuries is that many deaths have remained unexplained, being put down as 'old age.' Would anyone who remembers this story please tell me whether this has been disproved. Nonetheless it's pretty inconsequential given that as things stand we all gotts go sometime! If it's painless I don't see any reason to knock it!
